Site Construction Coordinator:
Microsoft’s Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) organization is the engine that powers our cloud services. Our datacenter construction team is dedicated to delivering the highest quality datacenters for our cloud services. As we continue to revolutionize the way construction projects are planned, managed, and executed, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Site Logistics Coordinator to join our diverse and inclusive team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring a safe and efficient work site.
Responsibilities
The Site Construction Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the construction activities onsite, logistics supply chain, stores management, development, and optimization of site logistics solutions to meet the project's needs. Working collaboratively with our construction, procurement, and engineering teams, you will ensure that our day-to-day movement of people, equipment, and materials adheres to our highest standards of performance and safety.
In your role you will report directly to the Construction Project Manager and work across all projects on the site to ensure consistency in the planning and execution of construction activities.

Job responsibilities:
Safety Management:
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• represents Microsoft as a safety leader and advocate on all construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Administration [OSHA], or equivalent) to ensure compliance and aggressive management of risk
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment that prevents injury or ill health, aligning with MSFT global targets of Recordable Incident Rate (RIR) and Worst Potential Severity (WPS) rate
• Implement learnings and actions to support organizational and national safety goals
• Review and recommend for approval the GC EHS plan
• Routine site walks with GC and Packaged Contractors Safety Team to establish and maintain a Safe Working Environment
• Conducts routine safety program, project, and contractor audits, and weekly audit on EHS documents
• Reporting on safety observations and unsafe conditions
• Performs and participates in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Planning:
• Plan and set-up site logistics implementation throughout all phases of the project, to move labor and materials around site efficiently (e.g. cranes, hoists, security, temporary services, material delivery, equipment preservation, storage, waste management strategy, pedestrian access and walkways).
• Plan site logistics routes through the project phases focusing on separation of vehicles, machinery, and people. Lay down and storage areas and offloading points.
• Develop logistics plans need to be developed for each turnover phase – after each Colo is completed it is Turned Over to Operations team.
• Coordinate plans between construction Main Works GC and Substation GC
• Plan site logistics and materials handlings (receiving, preservation, storage, inspection) document management system and administration
• Plan for the successful operation of construction activities adjacent to operational Data Centre facilities.
Mobilization:
• Responsible for all traffic management and road network cleanliness.
• Create a schedule of logistics meetings and ensure logistics is represented at site meetings.
• Co-ordinate construction works with the General Contractor and internal stakeholders,
• Establish and implement site logistics document management systems, process and workflows
Supply Chain / Delivery Management:
• Produce daily, weekly lookahead, and long-term movements (12 week lookahead) plans.
• Understand procurement arrangements. Microsoft Long Lead Equipment Procurement Plan & GC Procurement Plan
• Control materials in and out of site. GC Material Control Plan. Off-site storage most likely required.
• Plan and integrate with key contractors to meet the needs of the planned program and de-confliction of onsite space and time where appropriate. 1-week & 12-week lookahead schedules.
• Responsible for ensuring logistics activities are not a constraining factor on the program, where deemed unavoidable, ensuring the issues are communicated so that de-confliction can occur.
• Create appropriate site logistics awareness for meetings, trainings, and deliver to site workforce via presentation required such as Toolbox Talk Topics (TBT), Daily Activity Briefings (DAB), High Risk Activities (HRA), Morning Pre-Task Planning Briefings, Lookahead Planning Meetings (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Responsible for ensuring that material movement to and from the workface does not cause damage to the work, the workforce or the public.
Site Communication:
• Create a system to effectively communicate information around the site. For example, noticeboards, signage, banners, posters, email distribution lists, monitor displays, web pages, site alerts.
• Define and organize all site signage to the agreed corporate standard.
• Ensure that signage and signage symbols used are internationally recognized.
• Ensure additional languages are used in signage to ensure messages are understood.
Execution/Implementation
• Utilisation of Microsoft Preposition land – approvals, compliance (EHS, security)
Compliance:
• Ensure all site logistic and security activities (CSA, MEP, equipment preservation, materials handling, storage, temperature control for storage of sensitive and critical equipment) comply with local regulations, codes, and standards, including anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies.
• Collaborate with Microsoft Security, Microsoft IT (MSIT), Legal, Project Engineering, MS Business Risk Management, and other internal groups to maintain the corporate vision and goals for the Project
• Keep Microsoft secure. Complete all mandatory training on Trust, security and confidentiality
• assists with developing, managing and reporting on compliance
• Responsible for start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting and handover of the project to operations team
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical Facilities.
• Experience working for a General Contractor or trade.
• Detailed understanding of Logistics planning, and industry system used for site management
• Ability to independently manage deadlines and support staff
• Ability to Work independently in support of the DCD Project
• Cross-group collaborator and influencer across teams and organizations with proven success in participating in cross-functional teams to deliver on key projects
• Must be able to work within a dynamic team of full-time employees and consultants
• High personal standard to deliver a thoughtful, polished and quality work product
• Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
