Job Description

Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, customer service, productivity, efficiency, cost, and OEE objectives.

  Develop and support operations employees to meet performance expectations and company standards.

  Manage and coordinate inventories, production scheduling, and work activities to meet production needs and cost constraints.

  Oversee employee communications, expectations, and accountability.

  Maintain facilities, equipment, and systems in functional, sanitary, and safe condition.

  Perform safety, GMP, and pre-operational audits.

  Drive continuous improvement efforts around yield, OEE, engagement, safety, and quality.

  Implement new operating procedures and recommend equipment changes.

  Develop and implement training programs for team members.

  Ensure safety guidelines are followed, incidents reported, and deficiencies addressed.

  Maintain effective communication and relationships between shifts.

  Provide technical expertise and act as a stand-in for the Operations Manager.

  Mentor other operations supervisors and team leads.

  Honor and respect the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Perform other duties as required.

Skills and Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of related experience, preferably in food processing/packaging.

  Previous supervisory experience.

  Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes.

  Strong knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques.

  Ability to build relationships and inspire others.

  Mobility for broader assignments and development opportunities.

  Strong skills in organizing, planning, and driving for results.

  Action-oriented with the ability to build effective teams.

  Proficient in conflict management, problem-solving, and timely decision-making.

  Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.

  Ability to maintain composure and approachability.

  Command skills and business acumen.

  Functional and technical skills.

  Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Management, Science, or related field preferred. NA null
