Description
We are offering a contract for a permanent employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Kalispell, Montana. This role involves working closely with both our internal team and an external CPA firm, and it requires a high level of expertise in QuickBooks. This is an immediate contract-to-hire Bookkeeper opportunity. You will be working fairly independently with the office.
This a full-time Monday-Friday position.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoices, payments, and collections.
• Maintain and update the company's financial records to a high level of accuracy using QuickBooks.
• Conduct light payroll duties to ensure timely and error-free compensation for all staff.
• Collaborate with project teams to provide billing assistance and ensure alignment with project timelines.
• Work closely with the external CPA firm to prepare necessary documents, support audits, and assist with tax filing or compliance requirements.
• Handle daily financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting to support business operations efficiently.
• Use Microsoft Excel for data entry and account reconciliations.
• Manage month-end close procedures as part of the bookkeeping responsibilities.
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role.
• Proficient in account reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Skilled in conducting bank reconciliations to confirm the organization's financial records align with bank statements.
• Prior experience in bookkeeping, including maintaining records of financial transactions and ensuring legal requirements compliance.
• Ability to accurately perform data entry tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets, charts, and conducting data analysis.
• Experience with month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Familiarity with payroll procedures to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks for managing and paying bills, invoicing clients, building reports, and preparing for taxes.
