Job Title: Mill Machinist

Job Description

A company in Kansas City, KS is looking for a machinist/designer to take their products from 'cradle to grave'.

Responsibilities

  • Design foam or resin products in Solidworks (currently using Fusion 360, but transitioning to Solidworks)

  • Work with G code

  • Find the most efficient way to create and machine the product

  • Machine product on a mill

  • Quality check the finished product

Essential Skills

  • Experience programming in Solidworks

  • Experience writing programs in G Code

  • Experience operating a mill machine

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in machining and design

  • Familiarity with Fusion 360

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Experience with foam and resin materials

Work Environment

The work environment can get dusty when foam products are being made, and certain foam and resin materials may have a strong smell. The facility has heaters for the winter but no air conditioning for the summer, so it can get hot. The standard shift is 7am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, but during the summer, the shift changes to 6am - 2:30pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00
