Gas Distribution Foreman:

The Gas Foreman plays a crucial field management role, tasked with organizing and supervising the safe daily operations of Gas Distribution construction projects. In this capacity, the foreman will oversee construction activities and ensure compliance.

  • Manage equipment, materials, and logistics for gas distribution operations.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and legal requirements.

  • Oversee quality assurance processes and conduct inspections.

  • Maintain accurate records and generate regular project status reports.

  • Address concerns and maintain relationships with affected customers and businesses.

  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for gas incidents.

  • Identify and coordinate training programs for field personnel.

  • Assist in managing project budgets and tracking expenses.

  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, project managers, and regulatory agencies.

  • Identify and implement process improvements and best practices.

  • Supervise daily operations, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and performance standards.

  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Gas Distribution or equivalent military experience.

  • Knowledge and understanding of ground disturbance and poly pipe fusion/electrofusion.

  • OSHA Excavation and Trenching Competent Person Trained.

  • Knowledge and understanding of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and hazard recognition.

  • Must hold a valid Driver’s License.

  • DOT Medical Card required if driving a company vehicle.

  • Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Efficient computer skills for generating daily reports and data entry.

  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods with repeated lifting (up to 50 lbs.), kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching.

  • Able to work in a high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations

  • Preferred experience within the Construction, Pipeline or Gas Distribution industry.

This position is subject to the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.
