Job Title: Industrial Assembler- $22- Hour

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Assembler who will be responsible for disassembly, cleaning, requalification, rework, and assembly operations on Traction Motor Combo components. This role involves utilizing both manual and automated equipment in accordance with quality procedures. You will inspect completed work on components to ensure compliance with internal inspection criteria and engineering requirements. You must perform your duties in a safe manner, supporting lean manufacturing principles such as 5S and single-piece flow to the required takt time. Some tasks may require special process training or certification, such as welding or non-destructive testing.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, clean, requalify, rework, and assemble Traction Motor Combo components.

  • Utilize both manual and automated equipment according to quality procedures.

  • Inspect completed work on components to ensure compliance with quality and engineering requirements.

  • Perform duties in a safe manner, adhering to lean manufacturing principles such as 5S and single-piece flow.

  • Potentially perform special processes like welding or non-destructive testing, requiring additional training or certification.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in assembly and mechanical assembly.

  • Proficiency in schematic reading.

  • Experience in industrial assembly and working with heavy equipment.

  • Ability to perform heavy labor tasks.

  • Crane operation experience is beneficial.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with crane assist operations within the first 30 days.

  • Overhead crane experience is a bonus, but not mandatory.

  • Certification for crane operation will be provided.

Work Environment

This is a physically demanding position involving heavy assembly tasks. You will work with train axles and wheels, disassembling and diagnosing problems, and sending components to appropriate lines for remanufacturing. The role includes using crane assistance and requires certification within the first 30 days. The work environment supports safety and efficiency, adhering to lean manufacturing principles such as 5S.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of NA, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $47840.00
