Job Title: HVAC Mechanic - $29/hour URGENT POSITION - 1st Shift

Job Description

Seeking an HVAC Mechanic to join our team currently providing operations and maintenance (O&M) support at two GSA facilities in the Kansas City, Missouri area. The candidate should have 2-4 years of experience obtained within the past seven years in a trade or occupation involving the maintenance, repair, and operation of HVAC equipment in buildings.

Hard Skills

• Understanding written and oral instructions

• Performing basic building maintenance

• Knowledge in mechanical and electrical heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning machinery

• Making minor adjustments and repairs to HVAC systems

• Performing preventive maintenance (e.g., changing filters, cleaning coils)

• Using a variety of power and hand tools

• Performing emergency repairs

• Troubleshooting HVAC systems

• Reading Architectural and Manufacturing blueprints

• Using basic office equipment (cell phone, tablet, telephone, fax, copy scanner)

Soft Skills

• Working effectively with customers, building tenants, and team members

• Completing work orders in a timely manner

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Kansas City, Missouri.

Work Environment

rClean work environment. Government building downtown, so airport security is required to enter the building. Must have a clean record.
