Overview

The Specialty Pharmacy Manager has responsibilities for the clinical, operational, and financial functions of the Children’s Mercy Specialty Pharmacy located in Riverside, Missouri. Specific duties include personnel management for approximately 9 pharmacy staff, maintenance of URAC accreditation data requirements, and serve as the Specialty Pharmacy representative to the Ambulatory Pharmacy Leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Manages the provision of pharmacy services.

• Coordinates departmental and organizational quality improvement activities in areas of responsibility

• Personnel Management

• Develops clinical practice and maintains competencies and skills of a clinician and pharmacist.

• Contributes to the practice of the Pharmacy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree PharmD or BS in Pharmacy and 3-5 years experience 3 years experience or equivalent -1 yr residency and one year working experience OR 2 year residency (with one year management emphasis) may substitute for 3 years experience; Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital environment with responsibility for coordinating pharmacy services would be most helpful for this position.

• Licensed Pharmacist - MO

• Employees must obtain Licensed Pharmacist - MO or equivalent within 90 days

• PHARM LIC MO Licensed Pharmacist - MO Required 90 Days

• PHARM LIC KS Licensed Pharmacist - KS Only if primary work location is in Kansas Required 90 Days

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $60.71/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
