Description
We are offering a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper with our client in Kenner, Louisiana. The individual will join our team within the finance industry, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of our operations.
Responsibilities:
• Handling the process of account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency in records
• Overseeing both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to maintain a balanced financial state
• Conducting bank reconciliations to validate our records with the bank's records
• Performing bookkeeping duties that include keeping track of all transactions, posting debits and credits, producing invoices, and managing payroll
• Executing data entry tasks with precision, ensuring all financial data is correctly recorded
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Assisting in closing the books at the end of each month
• Managing payroll functions, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time
• Proficiently using QuickBooks for various accounting functions
Requirements
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required for maintaining accurate financial records
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment processing
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, cash application, and customer account management
• Capability to perform Bank Reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy
• Extensive knowledge in Bookkeeping, including maintaining ledgers, ensuring accuracy in financial documents, and preparing financial reports
• Proficient in Data Entry, ensuring accuracy, speed, and efficiency in updating and maintaining information
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including creating spreadsheets, using advanced formulas, and generating reports
• Experience with Month End Close processes, including preparing financial statements and compliance reports
• Familiarity with Payroll processes, including wage calculations, benefit calculations, and ensuring accurate and timely payments
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, including data entry, financial tracking, and report generation
