Blue Mountain Heart to Heart Community Health Nurse (temporary, Kennewick) in Kennewick, Washington

Community Health Nurse (Temporary, Kennewick)
This temporary, full-time position supports clinical services at the Health Engagement Hub. The emphasis is on supporting individuals through a variety of settings as they themselves transition between systems of care. This position's hourly compensation ranges from $38.46--$46.50. This position also qualifies for a $1,000 bonus paid after the first month of service.
Our clinical setting includes working with a small care team and other prevention and counseling staff.
Duties:
- Understand and adhere to ethics rules and standards for opioid treatment nurse case managers set by Blue Mountain Heart to Heart
- Ensure confidentiality of all BMHTH clients, current and former
- Provide timely, accurate, and complete reporting on cases in EHR systems and in clients' paper files, subject to regular review by the supervisor and/or Executive Director or their designee
- Work productively with fellow team members, clinic staff, counselors, case managers, facility corrections staff, and with outside partners, for the wellbeing of clients
- Attend regular update meetings and be prepared to speak about the nursing and medical activities
- Attend case management and project-related training as requested and required by state authorities and/or BMHTH
Expectations:
- Timely reporting to work
- Clear written and oral communication with supervisor, coworkers, clients, and contract holders
- Excellent boundaries with clients, colleagues, and partners
- Regular contact with clients as part of a longer-term plan for their empowerment
- On-time, accurate, and complete paperwork support for clients in the form of case notes, applications for services, and paper file requirements
- "No surprises" communication
- Active engagement in client issues and needs
- Initiative taking in continuing education and project-specific training
Qualifications:
- Active nursing credential, unencumbered
- Bachelor's degree level of RN preferred; or 3-5 years experience in nursing with an Associate's degree
- Bilingual candidates preferred
