Alaskan and Proud Markets is a locally owned and operated Grocery Store headquartered in Ketchikan, Alaska. We are looking for an energetic and innovative person to join our Ketchikan team. This position is for a Full Time Produce Associate position. There is a great opportunity for advancement within the Alaskan and Proud Operations. Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic understanding of Produce and Retail Operations
• Strong work ethic and dependable
• Good verbal and communication skills
• Must be able to obtain food handler certification within 30 days
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Ability to stand/walk for a full 8-hr work period
• Basic full body motions: bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, reaching
• Flexibility with work schedule (including weekends and holidays)
• Ability to arrive to work on time ready to start work
• Have reliable transportation options to make it to work on time

*Duties and Responsibilities: *

• Stocking and Rotating Products based on Best Use Dates
• Trimming and Repackaging Products
• Receiving Freight and Organizing produce Space
• Cleaning, Maintaining work and merchandising areas
• Merchandising products as directed
• Assist with ordering and identifying products needed weekly
• Assisting front end operation as needed.
• Misc. job tasks as assigned by store director or supervisor
• Follow and comply with company policies and procedures
• Follow and complies with Health and Safety policies
• Contributing to a Positive Work Atmosphere
