Position Title Adjunct Faculty-Communications & Media Technology

Salary Per Adj Pay Scale

Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - as needed, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week

Summary of Position

To teach Radio/Television / Film / Mass Communication to students located on Central Campus, teaching face to face.

Minimum Required Education

• Master’s Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education including 18 graduate hours in Radio/Television / Film/Advertising or Mass Communication.

Minimum Required Experience

• Three years college level teaching experience in radio/television/film or mass communications preferred.

• Work experience in radio/TV/film or media related organization preferred.

• Experience with digital media and applications preferred. Experience with Blackboard, PowerPoint software preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

This position requires demonstrated knowledge in the subject matter being taught and the ability to communicate with students in a clear manner and author tests and lesson plans. Must be punctual, dependable and have the ability to follow directions and proficiently complete tasks. Demonstrated skills and practical knowledge of broadcast equipment used in the course work to be taught.

Applicant maybe assigned weekend and evening classes. Preference will be given to applicants who are qualified to teach more than one subject/course within the department’s degree plans.
