The role you’ll contribute:
The Chaplain PRN provides spiritual care to patients, family and staff by assessing and supporting their spiritual needs. Chaplain PRN at AdventHealth Central Texas work as part of the interdisciplinary team to extend the healing ministry of Christ. They are expected to embrace our Service Standards at all times and to exhibit a continuous behavior of professionalism, which include but is not limited to treating customers and co-workers with respect and dignity, aligning behavior with customer service principles, maintaining customer and patient confidentiality, abiding by employee guidelines for professional behavior, appearance, and communication, exhibiting teamwork behaviors, being effective in conflict resolution, helping others to understand issues and accept changes, demonstrating high standards of work performance and flexibility, maintaining positive interdepartmental relationships, keeping a positive attitude, and adhering to the policies and procedures of the organization.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Provides spiritual care and emotional support to patients, families and staff as designated by the Director of Pastoral Care Department.
· Provides Night on Call (NOC) and Weekend on Call (WOC) coverage as required.
· Provides Sunday service at Behavioral Health as needed.
· Flexibility in scheduling of hours. May be required to work weekends and holidays.
· Responds to all emergency codes (e.g., Code Blue, Code Green) promptly.
· Responds to requests for services within twenty-four hours.
· Conducts pre-surgical visits as scheduled by the director.
· Follow up visit to surgical patients must be done within twenty-four hours after surgery.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
Minimum qualifications :
· High School diploma or GED.
