Job Description:

*Must be able to relocate to Georgia on long-term assignment for this role.

Role:

Provides expertise and technical assistance to site management for the implementation of the ESHARP and company SH&E processes. Receives assignments in terms of broad objectives from the GBU SH&E Director in conjunction with Project Management. Reviews, interprets and provides assistance on safety regulations and standards. Monitors project safety performance and conducts project audits and safety inspections.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the development and implementation of design office and project safety plans.

  • Assigns and provides technical supervision of safety performance, qualifications and programs.

  • Assist in Review on contractors list with regard to safety performance, qualifications and programs.

  • Conducts safety reviews and inspections of various operations in compliance with ESHARP Management.

  • Inspects worksites to detect hazards and provides expertise to project personnel to eliminate/control the SH&E risks associated with exposure to the hazards; creates and submits written inspection reports.

  • Develops site-specific work plans, SH&E compliance programs, training programs, and orientation plans fully conforming to relevant SH&E regulations, Parsons’ ESHARP management system, and client requirements.

  • Participates in Prime Contractor relations in job conferences to present the company safety policy and explain implementation on the project.

  • Assists the Workers’ Compensation Analyst in coordinating medical care and case management of employees injured at company facilities.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

  • Typically 5+ years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety, including some supervisory experience.

  • Professional certification in line with EM 385-1-1 required.

  • Current 1st Aid/CPR qualification

  • OSHA 30 certification

  • Fall Protection certification IAW EM 385-1-1

Requires extensive knowledge of Federal and State health and safety regulations and reporting procedures, as well as strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to perform in a supervisory/managerial capacity is also required.

  • Supervision Received - SH&E Manager; Project/Program Manager (various levels)

  • Supervision Given – Team Leads

  • Internal Contacts - All employees on construction projects

  • External Contacts - Suppliers; Clients; Safety Organizations; Government Organizations; Prime Contractor

Salary Range:

$29.42 - $51.49
