Position Title
Scholarship Coordinator
Job Responsibilities
The Scholarship Coordinator will report to the Financial Aid Director and will manage all aspects of Truman State University Foundations scholarship program (including endowed and annual scholarship awards). This position will also work closely with the Associate Vice President for University Advancement and the Foundations Treasurer to ensure the distribution of all new and existing Foundation scholarships are in accordance with donor intent.
Responsibilities include:
Develop, implement, and disseminate critical information to support more than 400 Foundation scholarship awards annually.
Serve as a liaison between the Financial Aid, Advancement and Admission departments to ensure that donor criteria for scholarship awards are being met.
Serve as the liaison to the campus community by providing timely and relevant information on scholarship opportunities, procedures, and timelines.
Assist in preparing scholarship budgets and reconciliation reports.
Prepare and disseminate scholarship-related communications.
Work collaboratively with other University administrative units, including Information Technology Services, to streamline workflow and processes.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Financial Aid Director.
Required Qualifications
Possess an Associates degree in a business related field, or have an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to work independently and in close coordination with others as part of a team.
Maintain confidential data discreetly on a routine basis.
Possess strong organizational and analytical skills in order to manage multiple, time-sensitive
projects.
Have a proficiency with software applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
Have a willingness to learn, be detail-oriented, and be dependable.
Preferred Qualifications
Possess a Bachelors degree.
Have at least two years of experience in a business setting.
Have experience with enterprise resource planning or customer relationship management
system(s).
