We are currently looking for an Experienced Merchandiser to work in your area representing top companies in the grocery industry – working specifically for our Danone client. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support our client’s merchandising initiatives and enhance relationships with Store and Department Managers by delivering best-in-class merchandising services. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to work daytime hours, having a semi-flexible work schedule, and enjoys working independently - all while having an excellent support team to call upon should the need arise.
This is a permanent part-time position, 3 days per week (24hs) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure accurate placement of products on shelves.
Regularly update prices based on inventory and market conditions to meet customer needs.
Set up and install promotional materials.
Ensure shelves remain organized and tidy.
Implement planogram changes to optimize product placement.
Prevent stock-outs by monitoring inventory levels.
Identify opportunities during store visits to enhance our sales area.
Assist in introducing new products and educating consumers about our clients’ latest innovations.
Foster and maintain positive relationships with store employees and managers.
Create detailed reports and document in-store actions.
QUALIFICATIONS
1+ year merchandising experience in grocery preferred. (but not necessary)
Comfortable working in dairy chillers/coolers. Danone products are in refrigerated coolers.
The ability to lift up to 30-40lbs; role is physically demanding.
Valid driver’s license, and access to the exclusive use of a reliable vehicle.
Strong attention to detail, specifically understanding and executing changes to a planogram.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.
Proactively identify issues and show initiative in solving problems.
Energetic, independent, and enthusiastic.
Flexible and adaptable with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work any day of the week on an 8:00 am-5:00 pm time frame - schedule to be based on needs of the client.
Comfortable traveling up to 50 km from your region (including paid commute time + expenses - according to company policy)
Strong communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to promptly respond to Danone and grocery store employees during workdays.
Computer savvy with access to a PC Computer and the internet and the ability to take and submit photos, surveys, and notes of your work.
