The Paramedic functions as an EMS Department team member, assisting the registered nurse (RN and physician with basic patient care, as well as, Advanced Cardiac Life Support care. Community Health Network has an excellent opportunity available within our EMS Department at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo, Indiana. Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem solving.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Current Paramedic License to practice as a Paramedic in the State of Indiana
One (1) year of experience working as a Paramedic, EMT, or ED Technician is preferred
Valid Driver's License required
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR),Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS),Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS),Certified Paramedic Certifications/Licensures required
Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) required within one year of hire
Demonstrates accountability for own actions with an openness to change and learn
Demonstrates customer service skills to provide exceptional patient and family experience
Takes initiative to help others
Computer skills for documentation and work-related purposes are required
