AON Risk & Compliance Data Analyst in Krakow, Poland
The Data Analyst role forms part of the UK Risk and Compliance (“UKR&C”) function. UKR&C reports through to the Global Law and Compliance function. The primary responsibility for this role will be to turn data in to information, turn information into insights which can then support the R&C team to make better business decisions.

This position is critical to the overall success of the Compliance Assurance (CA) team and the development of a Data Analytics capability UK R&C to support ongoing 2nd line assurance activity and improve the insights that can be delivered through MI and reporting.
What the day will look like
Gather data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring the upkeep of databases and data systems. This also includes filtering the data, investigating missing values, and preparing the dataset for analysis to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Transformation of data gathered from various sources across the firm into structured information to provide insights that shape the direction of assurance reviews as well as driving longer term decisions on the ongoing Compliance Assurance plans.
Work with the CA & Analytics Lead and other members of the R&C SLT to determine and prioritise the needs of different teams and enhance the analytical and reporting capability across the function.
Undertake data analysis lifecycle activities on assurance reviews and other data related projects – this covers requirement gathering, activity execution and design planning.
Detect, examine, and decode trends or patterns within intricate datasets. Use statistical tools and techniques to explore and analyse data, identifying patterns, relationships, and trends and produce actionable business insights.
Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision-making across the department.
Convey insights through reports and creation of visual representations of data findings to make the data understandable at a glance.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
English level – B2+/C1 minimum (written and spoken).
Possess a solid foundation in statistics and practical experience with statistical software (such as Excel, SPSS, SAS) and mastery in data analysis languages including SQL, Python, and R.
Exhibit exceptional analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present substantial data sets with precision and thoroughness.
Sound knowledge of data management and data privacy concepts
Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights.
Ability to communicate effectively on all levels. Strong communication and presentation capabilities, adept at simplifying complex data insights for audiences without a technical background.
Experience with Tableau, Power BI or alternative data visualization packages
Solid attention to detail.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to cope during times of high workloads. Proactive and able to identify priorities effectively.
Experience of working in an international environment would be an asset.
