The Toxics Cleanup Program{rel="nofollow"} (TCP) within the Department of Ecology (Ecology) is looking to fill a Site Manager / Fate and Transport Expert (Environmental Engineer 5) *position. This position is located in our *Headquarters *in Lacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"} Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.   As a Site Manager, you'll support the cleanup of large-scale, complex contaminated sites. You'll review remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and cleanup action plans, and implement corrective action and compliance monitoring at contaminated sites to support property development, real estate transactions and more. Your expertise in fate and transport of chemicals in the environment will provide critical technical support to assigned Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) sites. You'll design engineering analyses to examine the overall fate and transport of chemical contaminants as the move through groundwater, soil, and air. You'll use your expertise and experience to mentor other engineers and site managers by reviewing their work and offering advice.   *Agency Mission: *Ecology's mission is to protect, preserve and enhance the environment for current and future generations.   *Program Mission: *The mission of the Toxics Cleanup Program (TCP) is to protect Washington's human health and the environment by preventing and cleaning up pollution and supporting sustainable communities and natural resources for the benefit of future and current generations. *Tele-work options for this position: *This position will have flexibility of a hybrid schedule, empowering work from home and office, providing less time in traffic and shrinking your carbon footprint.
