Description
Perform Lubrication Maintenance Tasks: Execute lubrication procedures according to equipment manufacturer specifications and maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
Inspect and Monitor Lubrication Systems: Conduct regular inspections of lubrication systems, including oil and grease levels, filters, and seals, to identify potential issues such as leaks, contamination, or component wear.
Troubleshoot Lubrication-related Problems: Diagnose and troubleshoot lubrication system malfunctions or abnormalities, such as improper lubricant viscosity, insufficient lubricant flow, or equipment overheating, and take appropriate corrective actions.
Coordinate Lubricant Sampling and Analysis: Collect lubricant samples from machinery and equipment according to established schedules and procedures, and coordinate with the maintenance team or external laboratories for analysis to assess lubricant condition and equipment health.
Maintain Lubrication Records: Document all lubrication activities, including lubricant usage, equipment inspections, maintenance tasks performed, and any abnormalities or observations, to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Recommend Lubrication Improvements: Identify opportunities for lubrication optimization, such as selecting alternative lubricants, improving lubrication delivery systems, or implementing centralized lubrication systems, to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Collaborate with Maintenance Team: Work closely with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities, prioritize work orders, and share knowledge and best practices related to lubrication maintenance.
Adhere to Safety Guidelines: Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing lubrication maintenance tasks, including proper handling and disposal of lubricants, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
