Job Title: Mechanical/Electrical Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled mechanical/electrical technician for a fully outsourced 1-week project onsite in Lafayette, Indiana. The project involves rewiring the headline, which is where engine heads are made, across a line approximately 100 yards long. The project will focus on rewiring and labeling cables, as well as troubleshooting and repairing SRS towers to restore functionality.
Responsibilities
Pull, rewire, and label all cables across the production line.
Troubleshoot and repair the three SRS towers to ensure they are fully functional.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electromechanical systems.
Conduct detailed inspections and diagnostics to identify potential issues.
Utilize automated CMMS to document maintenance items and schedule future tasks.
Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electromechanical malfunctions.
Repair or replace defective components, including motors, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
Utilize GUI/HMI components for troubleshooting and correcting system issues.
Lead the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
Calibrate and test equipment to ensure proper operation and performance.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including detailed reports on inspections, repairs, and parts usage.
Provide feedback and recommendations to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Assist in training and mentoring Level 1 technicians and new team members.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and other team members.
Essential Skills
Advanced maintenance and repair of mechanical and electromechanical systems.
Troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical and electromechanical malfunctions.
Experience with test equipment, mechanical and electrical drawings.
Proficiency in the use of automated CMMS for documentation and scheduling.
Knowledge of GUI/HMI components for system troubleshooting.
Ability to lead the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Calibration and testing of equipment for proper operation.
Adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Certification or associate degree in mechanical or electromechanical technology is preferred.
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a maintenance or technical role.
Proven experience with mechanical and electromechanical systems.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00
