Louisiana Bridge Builders Permits Manager in Lake Charles, Louisiana

[The Permits Manager is committed to supporting the Company by being responsible for overseeing and acquiring permits and authorizations for the project.

[Primary Duties and Responsibilities]{inherit",serif"=""}]{inherit",serif"=""}

  • Manage overall process in obtaining required environmental permits, licenses, and approvals for construction projects, considering local, state, and federal regulations - including but not limited to Clean Water Act (CWA), Rivers and Harbors Act (RHA), etc.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and meeting all deadlines.
  • Stay updated on changes in permitting regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the company and regulatory agencies, facilitating communication and resolving any issues that may arise during the permitting process.
  • Maintain organized records of all permit applications, approvals, and related documentation, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather required information and documentation for permit applications and ensure engineering plans meet requirements of all agencies.
  • Monitor the status of permit applications and follow up with regulatory agencies as needed to expedite the approval process.
  • Address any permitting-related challenges or issues that may arise and work proactively to find solutions.
  • Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**[Qualifications

[At a minimum, the Permits Manager must have a bachelors degree in environmental, or related field of study, or equivalent years of working experience, along with 6+ years of demonstrated work experience obtaining and managing permits in the construction or infrastructure development industry, preferably in the State of Louisiana.

Effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner through written and verbal communications in all interfaces with customers/public, fellow employees, vendors, etc.

Ability to use appropriate computer programs (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite) which includes having proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt and learn as programs and processes change.
