Aerotek Receiving Inspector in Lake Forest, California

Job Title: Receiving Inspector

Job Description

$23HR - 1st Shift 6AM - 2:30PM. Must be open to overtime until 4:30PM when needed during the week.

We are a contract manufacturer for automated equipment. The Receiving Inspector will visually inspect components received that require inspection. This includes reviewing purchase orders, drawings, and inspection plan requirements against parts received. All data collected will be entered into the ERP system. Discrepancies and stock movements will be handled per established, documented procedures.

Hard Skills

  • Demonstrated ability and experience (1 year+) reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints

  • Demonstrated ability and experience (1 year+) using standard inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, angle gauges, radius gauges)

  • Previous experience (1 year+) working as an inline inspector, receiving inspector, or equivalent

  • Prior receiving inspection experience

  • Preferred inspection experience with custom mechanical parts (small-large aluminum/steel plates or sheet metal)

  • Experience inspecting PCBAs (IPC-A-610 certified, expired ok)

  • Experience inspecting cable assemblies (IPC-A-620 certified, expired ok)

Soft Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings

  • Attention to detail in completing inspection records

  • Proficiency in using ERP systems (SAP) to generate inspection records and quality notifications

  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Adherence to Hazardous Material Management and Safety rules

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Lake Forest, California.

Work Environment

Works on a production and engineering team of 60. The role is based inside of our customer, Advantest.
