We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Preparer to join our dynamic team. This role involves preparing complex multi-state business tax filings, focusing on 1120 forms for entities ranging from $5 million to $50 million. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Senior Tax Associates and ensure accurate and timely tax compliance for our clients.
Responsibilities
Prepare complex multi-state business and fiduciary tax returns, specifically 1120 forms for entities ranging from $5 million to $50 million.
Collaborate with Senior Tax Associates to prepare and file business tax returns, focusing on 1120 forms.
Handle tax filings for businesses with multi-state entities.
Essential Skills
3-4 seasons of experience in business tax preparation, specifically 1120 forms.
Tech-savvy with experience in tax and audit software (CCH ProSystem preferred).
Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft software applications.
Oregon Tax Compliance Certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Active Oregon CPA certification (preferred but not required).
Experience with CCH ProSystem software.
Experience working with construction or non-profit clients.
Work Environment
Our firm offers a hybrid work schedule, with 3 days in the office each week (flexible on the days). The team consists of 72 employees, with approximately 24-25 in the tax department. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with hours determined by the employee after training. We value work-life balance and have a relaxed, friendly, and kind environment. Benefits include PTO and sick leave, 9 holidays, and eligibility for raises and promotions twice a year. Employees are also eligible for bonuses based on individual and company performance. We provide support for CPA exam preparation and reimbursement. Our culture emphasizes growth and career development, with limited overtime required only during tax season.
