POSITION SUMMARY: THE Benefits Administrator’s primary responsibility is for the day-to-day operations of all benefit programs for the WellLife Network. Constituent serves as a contact for employees, plan vendors, and third-party administrators and works in partnership with the HR team members to provide excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:1. Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance/AD&D, long term disability, short term disability, supplemental and COBRA. Also, providing support related to Workers Compensation, as needed.2. Assist with the handling of benefit inquiries and complaints for the entire Network to ensure quick, equitable, compassionate and courteous resolution. Assist employees with questions related to time off, general benefit offerings, and other HR related policies/practices.3. Act as a liaison with insurance carriers, employees, and beneficiaries to facilitate proper administration of benefits for all employees.4. FMLA administration, including but not limited to making FMLA eligibility determinations, sending FMLA letters and notices of eligibility, designation notices and certification of healthcare provider forms, tracking FMLA hours, intermittent FMLA, coordinating FMLA extensions and return to work and doctor’s releases.5. Research, advise, and assist employees and managers with general inquiries and concerns related to agency policies/practices, the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and various regulatory bodies.6. Creating, completing, and interpreting forms when needed. Assists with yearly distribution and obtaining employees signatures for annual forms.7. Review and reconcile the monthly statements and calculation of premiums for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs. Resolves administrative problems with carrier representatives.8. Maintain benefits module of HRIS including the approval of benefit requests, benefits library and benefit data integrity. Establish and maintain carrier connection files in HRIS.9. Coordinates and executes annual open enrollment for the company's Health and Welfare plans including the separate open enrollment period for FSA/DCA.10. Inputs data, ensuring accuracy, completeness and confidentiality.11. Conduct dependent/beneficiary audits to ensure compliance with eligibility rules, making suggestions for improving claims processing and conducting “maintaining benefited status” audits of minimum hours required for benefits. As well as Audit bi-weekly payroll register for benefit changes including leaves, suspension, termination of benefits and premium reconciliation.12. Respond to department and program request for employee documentation in preparation for external audit, as needed.13. Facilitate new hire orientation and other various trainings.14. Research new benefit programs improve existing programs and monitor benefit administration.15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree and BA/BS degree is preferred

  • Minimum of 2- 4 years related experience in benefits required

  • Knowledge of benefit terms and of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125, Workers Compensation, Medicare, COBRA, Medicare and Social Security and DOL requirements.

  • Strong computer skills and HRIS system experience is required.

  • High level of reliability, dependability, initiative, follow through, and ability to work independently.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and project management skills.

  • Proven planning, organizational skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness.

  • Ability to travel to various facilities, as needed.
