Environmental Compliance and Permitting Project Manager
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, Lakewood or Fort Collins, Colorado, Austin or New Braunfels, TX
Job Summary: In your role as an Environmental Compliance and Permitting Project Manager, you would be assisting clients with developing their sustainability and ESG programs from collecting and analyzing facility data to content development and developing actionable sustainability solutions. This position requires preparation of technical proposals, cost estimates, and leading business development and marketing efforts.
This full-time position requires approximately 40-45 hours per week and involves a blend of project management, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this opportunity is ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and executing environmental permitting and compliance projects.
Developing SPCC Plans, SWPPPs, and NPDES permits.
Providing hazardous waste, hazardous materials, EMS, air quality, and other environmental regulatory compliance services.
Conducting Phase I and II environmental due diligence assessments.
Regulatory research, compliance planning and auditing, and report preparation for state and federal environmental reports.
Ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, assign tasks, and monitor progress.
Support client stewardship and business development activities.
Qualifications:
BS degree, prefer MS degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field
10+ years of relevant environmental industry experience, prefer PE, PG, and/or CHMM
Experience must include knowledge of SPCC, RCRA, CWA, SWPPP, UST/AST systems, Federal and State regulations
Experience with sustainability/ESG reporting, interest in ESG issues, and a working knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks preferred
Direct industry employment history managing projects, budgets, and preparing cost estimates within the environmental field
Ability to work independently and contribute meaningfully to an established team of geologists, engineers, and scientists to meet client deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, project stakeholders, coworkers, subcontractors, and other project team members
Demonstrated ability to fulfill commitments on budget/schedule and to do what it takes to meet client service expectations and requirements
Strong technical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness, as well as a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables
Initiative and motivation, with an emphasis on client service and cultivating long-standing relationships
