Description Job Summary: The success of Messer's North American Application Equipment Parts Program is contingent on the ability of the Shipping & Receiving Clerk to ensure an accurate parts database including all parts and material components of Messer's application equipment portfolio. The primary function of this role will be to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the parts information in the database based on Bill of Materials/CAD drawings and to assist with the shipping and restocking of application equipment spare parts. Principal Responsibilities: Safely execute all duties and contribute to Messer's strong safety culture Accurately and thoroughly enter parts and materials information into a parts database Review Bill of Materials on CAD drawing and ensure accuracy and thoroughness of all parts and materials information. Collaborate with Engineering team to improve accuracy of customer equipment records and technical drawing documentation Assist customers in identification and selection of parts requiring replacement Utilize database and business software systems to assist Inventory Control Supervisor in providing timely and accurate quotes and processing parts orders Make recommendations to improve standardization of parts and identify part obsolescence across application equipment product lines Work overtime as needed Ship parts in a timely manner to Messer's internal and external customers Receive/process/restock all incoming parts in a timely manner Assist in annual inventory auditing activities Assist with other duties as required to support the Application Equipment Spare Parts Program Assist with other duties as required to support the Messer Technical Center facility Required Skills: Ability to read CAD drawings and understand parts and bill of material information Strong experience with MS Office Strong oral and written communication Detail-oriented Mechanically inclined Industrial or manufacturing industry experience with equipment and spare parts Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma 1-3 years of work experience in a similar role Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Vocational Technical Degree or enrolled in Engineering Degree Program preferred Certified to operate a forklift truck preferred Hands-on experience working with equipment and machinery involving gears, motors or other mechanical devices is strongly preferred Customer service related to equipment and spare parts is preferred Familiarity with SAP systems to include SAP - PM is preferred About Messer: Messer's safety culture, commitment to providing dependable supply and innovative gas technology solutions help customers unlock opportunities to be safer, more sustainable, more productive and more efficient, so their business thrives.
