Overview
Acquisition Accessibility Analyst:
Bowhead is seeking an Acquisition Accessibility Analyst to provide contract requisition support for the Information Resources Accessibility Program (IRAP) Section 508 office. The Section 508 Program Office is an organization within the US Department of the Treasury's, Office of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that provides agency wide support Assistive Technology (AT) as a reasonable accommodations and technical Section 508 guidance for IRS projects and Agency initiatives.
Responsibilities
Provide support for requisition review for the Section 508 approval process within the IRS procurement department.
Prescribe and clarify applicable provisions and new procurement clauses to be included in contracts.
Provide requisition support including intake, analysis and processing of all requisitions and documentation (including COTS software and hardware packages).
Handle all incoming requests for 508 review assistance and responds to customer questions.
Review contracts and identify applicable Section 508 provisions.
Provide detailed 508 requisition forms training and briefings.
Collaborate with the Procurement liaison to ensure Section 508 provisions are incorporated into the acquisition plan for software/web development.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area is highly desired.
5+ years of substantive and relevant experience in Section 508 policies and procedures.
Full understanding of the Section 508 including requirements, exceptions and its applicability to products and services.
Strong verbal and written Communication Skills (able to effectively communicate with customers,) ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and insights and make informed recommendations. Capable of explaining complex information/processes to non-technical audience.
Able to work in a team environment and independently.
Knowledge of Acquisition LifeCycle (good to have but not necessary)
Detail oriented.
Soft skills, including effective Communication, teamwork, time management, willingness to learn, empathy, organization, analytical and critical thinking.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust (NAC) level. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Public Trust (NAC) clearance at this location.
The projected compensation range for this position is $118,000- $138,000. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other laws.
