Job Description

POSITION DUTIES -This position implements vital reforms passed by Michigan voters through Proposal 1 of 2022 which requires elected officials to disclose their personal financial information. This position will provide advanced analysis to help residence of Michigan identify potential conflicts of interest and government official’s interactions with lobbyists.

This position serves as a senior Disclosure and Lobby Filings Analyst within the Personal Financial Disclosure Section in the Bureau of Elections (BOE). This position will analyze and enforce the most complex financial disclosures as required by the state constitution.as well as the Lobby Registration Act, and Michigan Election Law. The Analyst will support the Division’s functions by developing the program, reporting materials, and manage development of software, form creation and other documentation. The position will prepare communications including web pages, and instructional materials for those individuals regulated by the BOE. The position will implement the program through research and analysis of disclosure reports, personal finance statements, and lobby expenditure reports, with emphasis on working to address deficiencies and correct noncompliant filings and take enforcement actions when required. This position will also develop training materials on the processes and user manuals; and provide training to the regulated community.

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.

Vacation and Sick Leave:Eligible full-time employees receive between15 and 35 personal daysand 13 sick daysper year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.

Paid Holidays:Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year’s Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
