Join the Waverly Warrior's team as our new Maintenance person!  Starting pay is $21.74/hr.  You will work in person to ensure efficient and preventive maintenance for all 7 of Waverly Community Schools buildings and equipment. You will perform HVAC (Boiler/Chiller systems, unit vents, roof tops, exhaust ventilation), plumbing (flush valves, sinks, toilets, sump pumps, soldering, etc.), and electrical (outlets, switches, motors, lights) work.

To thrive in this job, you must...

• Arrive on time.
• Interface with the public and district staff regularly.
• Safely operate all District vehicles and equipment, truck and tommy lift, truck with trailer, grounds equipment (trimmers, blowers, edgers, mowers, painters, etc.).
• Obtain Certified Pool Operators Certification.
• Use building management systems, Microsoft Office and a work order system.
• Work with accuracy, attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
• Adapt to changing work environments.

For your safety, keep this in mind. You must have earned a High School Diploma or equivalent. You'll need to read and understand multi-step written and verbal instructions and occasionally perform basic math calculations. You must demonstrate understanding of basic health standards to comply with district and state regulations. You'll work both indoors and outdoors, in all types of weather, and occasionally in the dark. Travel to different locations may occur during heavy rain or snow.
