Job Description

This position will provide general support to the MSI Business Office. This position will assist with order entry, new employee school sizing events, invoicing and accounting functions based on operational demand or as needed during periods of full-time staff absences. This position will require extensive knowledge of Global Shop Solutions (GSS) ERP System, as well as a working knowledge of all individual MSI Factory operations.

This position will require travel in a state vehicle to attend sizing events.

  • Knowledge of Excel including graphics, Word, Power Point, and willingness to learn Global Shop Solutions (ERP System).

  • Good grammar and spelling.

  • Good typing skills and handwriting.

  • Knowledge of an ERP System is a plus.

New hires to the MDOC along with previous MDOC employees that are returning after being away from the department for more than two years will complete Non-Custody New Employee Training (NCNET) either 40 hours or 80 hours of initial in-person training based on their level of offender contact and job classification. All new employees will complete additional online training to successfully complete their non-custody new employee training.
