Bohannan Hustonis currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Electrical Engineer to work in our Las Cruces, NM office.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Include:

As part of a project team, develop construction plan and specification document sets for electrical system design of commercial buildings and municipal infrastructure facilities. Design elements include power distribution, grounding, lighting, instrumentation, and communication networks. Other duties include verifying construction progress conformance by field observation.

Expertise Required:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology degree.
• Professional Engineer Registration, or acquisition within 6 months of employment preferred.
• 5 years' minimum experience.
• A self-starter with team lead experience on construction plan production.
• Demonstrated capability of fundamental knowledge application used for design basis of power distribution, lighting, and communication networks.
• Capable of analyzing electrical systems in design software such as SKM Power Tools or AGI32 Lighting Analysis, or AutoCAD MEP.
• Demonstrated NEC and NESC code knowledge.
• Fluent in AutoCAD MEP for building and process facility projects involving Instrumentation, Control, and Electrical system creation, for final development of electrical plans.
• Develop project cost estimates for electrical systems.
• Have ability to identify and characterize conditional status of existing electrical systems.
