$106,973.00 per year

SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of duties in analyzing enterprise and/or departmental business processes to identify and participate in developing and implementing technology solutions to meet business and operational requirements; performs applications quality assurance and user acceptance testing and problem resolution; performs detailed systems documentation; provides a variety of user training and support; and performs related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a technical mindset that embraces learning new tools. They will be responsible for working with subject matter experts across the organization to gain an understanding of the business processes surrounding the data and then using various tools to analyze and interpret the data to answer questions that can drive our organization forward. They should have strong knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or similar tools.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, management information systems or a closely related field; and

three years of progressively responsible professional business systems analysis experience;

or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Experience in a government or public utility setting is highly desirable.

A valid Nevada driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under the District's Vehicle Insurance Policy may be required for certain assignments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Knowledge of:

Principles, concepts and practices of business process and systems analysis including business process and data modeling; principles of software lifecycle management; systems design theory, concepts and principles including data management and administration and development concepts; current business management theory and concepts and techniques for process improvement; standard project management tools and techniques; Agile development methodologies; District and/or departmental business processes commonly supported by applications; standard business software, including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, graphics and database programs; laws, codes and regulations pertaining to the use of computer hardware and software; principles and practices of sound business communication; basic principles and practices of effective team leadership.
