The Welder, Combination, Maintenance welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products, such as machine parts, plant equipment, mobile homes, motors and generators, according to layouts, blueprints or work orders, using brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Welds metal parts together, using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes.

• Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding, repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes and increases size of metal parts, positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.

• Locates and repair cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads, using inspection equipment and gas torch.

• May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent

• Minimum three (3) years' experience in various types of welding and the utilization of welding tools or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Possess and maintain a current Oklahoma Driver’s License.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to pass National Agency Check

• Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds

• Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules.

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee may use repeated motions that include the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
