KIHOMAC Strategic Purchasing Analyst in Layton, Utah
Expertise and Functions
Work with Supply Chain Analysts to procure material in support of production requirements
Compile and issue Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders to suppliers
In depth data analysis to identify cost saving and cost avoidance opportunities through material procurement strategy
Knowledge of best purchasing practices as a government contractor
Rich knowledge of Supply Chain Management field and how it operates in a Manufacturing environment
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree in management or other relevant discipline preferred
Experience:
5+ years of experience in material procurement in a manufacturing environment
Aerospace and Defense background preferred
Compilation and issuance of large purchase orders
Confident in supplier negotiations
Analytical thinker with the ability to compile and manipulate data in order to make informed business decisions
Security:
Must be a US citizen
Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements:
Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
