POSITION: Light Duty Diagnostic Mechanic I - Climax Mine

DUTIES: * Perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as, but not limited to: Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Rubber Tire and Track Dozers, Front-end Loaders, and Motor Graders. * Perform the removal, repair and installation of transmissions, engines, breaks, differentials, pumps, motors, torque convertors, final drives and other heavy equipment systems or components. * Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on machine systems such as: hydraulic, power train and engines. * Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed. * Responsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspections. * Operate mobile equipment such as: Overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucks. * Perform welding such as: Carbon arc, Plasma, Mig, Tig, and Stick. * Perform as a Fill-in Supervisor as required. * Train and mentor other employees. * Perform other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS: * Two (2) years experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts (including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance/construction) or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance. * Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.? * Mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going drug and alcohol testing * Current CPR and first aid certifications, as required by specific site location * HEM Diagnostic Mechanic I: Practical Skills Assessments defined in LOP. * Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English * Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards * Ability to prioritize repairs and possess excellent decision-making skills * Ability to troubleshoot machine systems * Ability to work and effectively communicate with others * Ability to read and use blueprints

PREFERRED SKILLS: High School diploma or GED

WAGE: 28.50 - $38.50/hour
