Maintenance Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving maintenance and reliability initiatives, developing department KPIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure production demands are met and exceeded. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, establish, and communicate directions and priorities for the maintenance team.

  • Drive maintenance and reliability initiatives focused on preventive and predictive maintenance.

  • Develop and maintain department KPIs and goals, monitoring efficiencies, labor costs, and other department expenses.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to manage, maintain, and establish maintenance procedures for production lines to meet and exceed demand targets.

  • Maintain manufacturing assets and facility, parts inventory, and monitor purchase orders and invoice approvals.

  • Provide training and continuous development to both direct and indirect team members.

  • Conduct periodic reviews for team performance and actively engage in team member development.

  • Actively promote a continuous improvement culture within maintenance areas, including floor support, schedulers, and MRO planners.

  • Establish and maintain a track record of safety improvements through Behavioral Based Safety Hazard identifications and risk assessments.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5+ years of maintenance management experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma and continuous process improvement.

  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems, ERP/SAP, and MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with 6S methodology.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Willingness to work some irregular hours as dictated by business needs.

  • Scalable direct supervisory experience, able to manage upwards of 100+ employees.

  • Working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in implementing process improvements.

  • Results-oriented with the ability to plan and deliver against production deadlines and goals.

  • Resilient, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure.

  • Inventory control management experience.

  • Prior experience with multiple CMMS programs.

  • Background in weekly/monthly scheduling and headcount planning.

Work Environment

The role is based in a high-volume manufacturing setting that requires a commitment to safety and efficiency. The work environment includes working with various technologies and equipment, with a focus on preventive and predictive maintenance. The dress code is business casual, and some irregular hours may be required to meet business needs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $140000.00

Working with a startup company. Lots of room for growth, overseeing 50 plus maintenance techs. Automotive.
