This position is a hybrid role but must be based in the Nashville/Lebanon, TN area.

Purpose is to strengthen Permobil Group´s position through driving efficiently sourcing agenda in New Product Development process by ensuring competitive commercial conditions for all products and services that are part of the scope as well maximizing supplier value and proactively managing business risks.

You will be responsible for either of following areas: Chassis (mechanical components or plastics) or Electronics to implement and drive sourcing strategy in new product development process by ensuring that all targets and KPI's for the respective project or assignment is met or exceeded.

Develop and implement the platform sourcing strategy to ensure our platforms meet the needs of our customers and provide a competitive advantage in the market.

Oversee supplier relationship management to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met throughout the development phase.

Manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain process, from supplier selection till the time it reaches our Production units docks.

Negotiate commercial conditions including contracts and various agreements with suppliers to ensure the company receives the best value for products and services.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product development and operations, to ensure sourcing strategies align with business objectives.

Lead cross-functional teams to drive sourcing initiatives that deliver cost savings, improve supplier performance, and mitigate risks.

Identify new suppliers and technologies to improve platform performance and reduce costs.

Analyze market trends and supplier performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sourcing processes throughout the development phase.

Manage the phase-in/out planning to ensure product availability meets requested time-to-market lead time as well as minimize Permobil's risks for excess and obsolete components

Oversee the logistics and distribution process to ensure timely delivery of components towards responsible designers as part of the projects.

Develop and implement Sourcing Concept Study, (Targets, Supplier coverage, Supplier regions, Risks, …)

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business or economics and/or; equivaltent work experience from strategic sourcing, supply chain or similar positions

5 + years hands on knowledge and background in end to end supply chain

Engineering and/or techincal understanding, including quality, logistics and production engineering

Business analysis (such as cost drivers and cost break down analysis)

Negotiations and contract management (including agreement writing)

Good understanding of lean concept and lean production

Up to 30% travel including international travel
