Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team for the assembly and up-fitting of railroad track equipment. You will be working in a small, close-knit team of 3-4 people in a shop floor environment. This role requires hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and the use of various tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly and up-fitting of railroad track equipment.

  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble parts.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

  • Conduct wiring and electrical assembly work.

  • Collaborate with a small team to complete projects efficiently.

  • Lift and maneuver heavy machinery and parts up to 60 pounds.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of mechanical assembly or mechanic work experience.

  • Experience with heavy machinery.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.

  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Good resume tenure and overall work history.

  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Work Environment

This position is based in a shop floor environment with a small team size of 3-4 people working on mechanical projects. The work hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00
