Job Summary

Prepares equipment for delivery to customers. Job will require picking up and delivering equipment to customer’s property using company provided delivery vehicle and trailer. Main types of equipment transported is lawn & garden equipment. This role has a flexible schedule and can be adapted to candidate preference. Schedule will average 25-30 hours per week through April 2025. The opportunity to have this duration extended is dependent upon workload availability and overall performance in the position.

Responsibilities

-Schedule pick up and delivery of equipment directly with customer over the phone

-Utilize Microsoft Excel to track the timing of pick up and delivery schedule

-Drive company vehicle and trailer loaded with equipment to and from customer’s property

-Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required in the pick up/delivery/setup process

-Prepare equipment for delivery inclusive of: loading trailer, cleaning off, and/or other duties in pre-delivery process

-Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion

-Follows all safety rules and regulations when performing work assignments

-Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments

-Utilize forklift when needed to move or load materials

-Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties

-Any other job duties as assigned

Job Requirements

-Valid driver’s license with good driving record required

-Exposure to and understanding of the operation of lawn & garden equipment

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Provide an exceptional customer experience in all aspects of the pick up and delivery process

-Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery processes

-Ability to lift up to 80 lbs on occasion

-Experience utilizing a forklift preferred

-Ability to be insurable under company fleet insurance policy

-High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
