Actalent Engineering is seeking an experienced Utilities Designer to join a growing engineering firm's team in Lewis Center to work in office with flexible core hours and early closures on Fridays. Design experience must come from utility grade projects in high voltage, substation, transmission, distribution, or renewable energy and candidate must be willing to work with and manage a small team of drafters.

Responsibilities:

• Construct layouts for high voltage and renewable systems on utility projects from field data

• Collaborate with project managers and owners early in the design process for project sequencing and safety clearance concerns

• Work with field and office personnel to ensure constructability of design

• Generate installation drawings for use by field and prefabrication personnel

• Perform minimal design calculations using sound engineering practices

• Conduct field surveys to document existing conditions

• Manager small team of drafters

• Hard Skills:

• 2+ years design experience in SolidWorks, Inventor, or Navisworks

• 2+ years experience in design of HV, Substation, Renewables, or Transmission & Distribution
