Geisinger Radiology Operations Supervisor - GLH - Full Time - Days in Lewistown, Pennsylvania
Job Summary
The Radiology Operations Supervisor provides day to day operations supervision for assigned imaging locations and is responsible for: patient safety & satisfaction, process improvement, staff competencies, training, hiring and onboarding, performance management, regulatory requirements, policy adherence, financial management, equipment, and supplies in collaboration with Radiology ModalitynManager, Radiology Operations Managers, Team Leaders, and Physician modality chief(s). This position directly supervises a team of diagnostic technologists and indirectly supervises specialty modality teams within a small hospital setting and/or outpatient clinic.
Job Duties
Day to day supervision for assigned location(s) including human resources management, operations, relationship development, financial/budget management, legal and regulatory compliance, strategic planning, staff productivity, space planning, and capital equipment planning and installation oversight.
Ensures that all imaging studies are performed by qualified and competent staff, are of the highest quality achievable and follow the radiation safety principles of ALARA, ACR Guidelines for MRI Safety, and/or other applicable professional organization guidelines.
Works collaboratively and in partnership with leaders, physician, and staff to ensure consistent practices across all modality locations.
Ensures compliance with system and departmental policies and procedures. Works directly with team leaders and/or modality managers and/or directors to resolve problems, workflow, customer service and human resource issues.
Implements new initiatives, programs and policies. Participates in quality management programs.
Collaborates with the radiology management team, physicians, and staff to ensure the best possible patient experience while maintaining departmental standards for cost effective care, safety, quality, service, and teamwork.
Manages, oversees, maintains and improves business functions and processes for assigned locations.
Participates in ACR accreditation processes.

Position Details
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Radiography (ARRT-R), or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (CNMT) is needed upon hire.
Education
Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Medical Imaging (Required), Bachelor's Degree- (Preferred)
Experience
Minimum of 3 years-Related work experience (Required), Minimum of 4 years-Leadership (Preferred)
Certification(s) and License(s)
Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body; Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS); Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
