Lockheed Martin Logistics Intern / Lexington, KY in Lexington, Kentucky

Lockheed Martin's Missiles & Fire Control, SOF GLSS (Special Operations Forces - Global Logistic Sustainment Services) contract provide logistics and sustainment supporting multiple programs and platforms. Lexington, is in the heart of the Bluegrass and is the second-largest city in Kentucky, known as the "Horse Capital of the World". The surrounding region is a great place to live and to raise a family with an abundance of government and technology jobs. Where can you get to from Lexington? Louisville is about a 90 minute drive to the east. Cincinnati, Ohio is about 2 hours to the north. Indianapolis, Indiana is about 3 hours to the Northwest. Nashville, TN is about 4 hours SouthWest. In the Logistics you will assist managers in day-to-day business, training, reporting, and metrics. Assist managers with monitoring key performance indicators relevant to Logistics warehouses and transformation. Assist managers with compliance needs and support audits. Track statuses of projects and warehouse reviews and follow-up on corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with other departments to incorporate enterprise processes. Initiate and manage affordability initiatives. Conduct warehouse walk-throughs with 3PL.

Basic Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelors degree in a related discipline

• Coordination skills and ability to monitor established projects

• Ability to work with minimal direction

• Warehouse experience

• Detail-oriented

• SAP and GOLD experience

• Experience reviewing/updating policies and procedures

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)

Desired Skills:

• Excellent follow-up skills

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to multi-task

• Time management skills

• Lean Six Sigma tools familiarity

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
