Position Description

Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material.

11. install equipment or attachments on machinery or related structures
12. monitor production machinery/equipment operation to detect problems
13. set up production equipment or machinery
14. fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand
15. operate metal or plastic fabricating equipment/machinery
16. recognize characteristics of metals
17. use precision measuring tools or equipment
18. load or unload material or workpiece into machinery
19. measure, weigh, or count products or materials
20. operate hoist, winch, or hydraulic boom
21. perform safety inspections in manufacturing or industrial setting
22. read production layouts
23. read specifications
24. read work order, instructions, formulas, or processing charts
25. set up computer numerical control machines
26. use hand or power tools
27. attach or mark identification onto products or containers

Required Education and Qualifications

Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred. This includes the ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, assembly checks and CAD models in order to meet production specifications.
