Job Summary: Execution and management of engineering projects including product development, manufacturing, and capital equipment. This job requires project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects, a strong technical background, a high level of organization, and ability to work within a team environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, execute, and manage projects
Identify and mitigate project and technical challenges
Successfully complete projects, within approved scope, schedule, and budget
Communicate and report project progress
Ensure company policies, work rules, and processes are followed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience executing projects, including capital equipment projects
Experience executing automotive APQP and PPAP process
Experience with project management tools and software
General understanding of industry, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape
General understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and supporting utilities
General understanding of company products and materials
Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to create solutions
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Effective in time, quality, and cost management
Experience working on a cross-functional team with strong ability to influence/motivate others to achieve results
Demonstrated and effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with internal and external customers
Prior experience working under tight deadlines with shifting priorities
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong leadership skills
Ability to work independently
Credentials and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, in a mechanical, industrial, agriculture, or similar discipline.
A minimum of 2+ years of engineering and project management experience
A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a regulated industry (i.e. aerospace, automotive)
Proficiency with Project Management Institute project processes
Other Skills/Abilities or Special Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and walk eight hours per day and carry up to 20 pounds
Travel approximately 10% of the time, both domestic and international
