Diesel Service Technician - $42/HR – Training Provided!
Job Description: We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team as Service Technicians and Shop Mechanics. Candidates will be
responsible for servicing a variety of equipment, including pickups, forklifts, asphalt equipment, semi tractors, rollers, motor graders, wheel loaders, and other job site equipment, as well as the vehicles used to transport crew and materials.
Responsibilities:
Perform oil changes and preventive maintenance (PMs)
Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns
Conduct full repairs and motor rebuilds (training available for the right candidate)
Work in the shop and travel to job sites as needed
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum:
1 year of troubleshooting equipment knowledge
1 year of experience as a mechanic
Must have own tool set for repairs
Preferred:
5+ years of equipment/mechanic knowledge
5+ years of experience in a fleet shop/equipment shop (CAT, JD, NMC, Murphy)
2+ years in the construction industry
Positions Available:
Shop Mechanic (2 openings):
Can have a 2-year degree or equivalent experience (e.g., farm background)
Self-motivated and primarily performing PMs
$25-$30/Hour Based on experience
Service Technician:
Experience with diesel work on a variety of equipment
Working on concrete pavers, crushers, cranes, etc.
$25-$42/hour depending on experience

Work Environment:
Shop:
Tight-knit group with long tenure (most with 10+ years)
Auto shop with no heat or AC
Service Tech:
Traveling within a 2-2.5 hour radius to different job sites
On-call periodically
Team Size:
8 in the shop
Service techs work in pairs or individually
Dress Code:
Jeans, boots, layers as needed
Expect to get greasy, dirty, and dusty
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 7am - 5:30pm
Saturday overtime as needed (not frequent)
50 hours/week standard (Mon-Fri)
Service techs may work shorter or longer hours depending on the job
Training:
Paired with a senior mechanic initially.
Gradual transition to independent projects

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $42.00
