Job Title: Shop Foreman
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced A-level technician to lead our service team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diesel truck repair, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence. This role involves servicing a variety of equipment, including pickups, forklifts, asphalt equipment, semi-tractors, rollers, motor graders, and wheel loaders. The position requires performing oil changes, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the service team.
Service and maintain a variety of equipment ranging from pickups to heavy-duty machinery.
Perform oil changes and preventive maintenance.
Conduct basic troubleshooting.
Spend 50% of the time in the shop and 50% on field service calls.
Ensure proper documentation and use of computer systems for diagnosis and repair orders.
Essential Skills
Experience working with diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks.
Possession of a personal set of general tools.
Strong computer knowledge for diagnosis and repair order systems.
Ability to lift and work without restrictions.
Diesel engine certification, engine overhaul, and diagnostics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of experience with equipment and mechanical knowledge.
5+ years of experience working in a fleet or equipment shop.

Work Environment
The team consists of 12 members working in an auto shop with no heating or air conditioning. The dress code includes jeans, boots, and layers as needed, as the work can be greasy, dirty, and dusty. Standard hours are Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5:30 pm, with occasional Saturdays as needed. The role typically involves 50 hours per week. You will be paired with a mechanic initially and gradually take on projects independently.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.
