Job Overview:
ERP Rebuild program is a critical Syensqo initiative that will change the way we all work.
It aims to deliver to Syensqo a set of simple, standard, and integrated business processes and data, enabled by the latest technologies and a robust organizational change management and training.
The program will use the latest available technology, from automation to machine learning, with the goal of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the business and make Syensqo “future ready”.
It will also provide real time reporting to enable quick and informed decision making, for which data quality and robust and seamless integration are vital.
The ERP Rebuild program offers a few opportunities for anyone who joins: (1) become future and digital ready, (2) be part of a forward-thinking team and (3) continue to play an important role within Syensqo as part of the management team once the program ends.
The Record to Report SME role is a critical role , a member and contributor of/to the R2R team , reporting into the R2R Business Lead and Syensqo Line Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Contibutes to the R2R activities and deliverables in accordance with Syensqo's code of conduct and program principles: standardization, simplification, process discipline, manage scope, effective change management, program governance and future proof solution.
Reports the progress in the weekly team meetings.
Raises timely risks and issues.
Responsible , for the R2R end the end process, by contributing on behalf of the respective GBU, through timely fedback and input to:
Detail design w/shops
The business process, its variants and their models to Level 5, based on the input and feedback from the relevant GBU
System configuration
Master data standards relevant to this process
Functional specifications for the relevant developments, including integration with other systems
The process controls and segregation of duties
The test scripts and business process scenario variants
All regulatory and legal requirements , including group and executive reporting
Engage the business in the respective GBU to ensure :
the defined business processes are fit for purpose
their solution understanding and readiness for the testing cycles
timely sign off for all relevant deliverables
Engage 3rd parties, i.e. vendors, to ensure their understanding of the ERP Rebuild program and timeline and their readiness to support it.
Work closely with the internal and external Audit to ensure the process controls and segregation of duties are signed off
Contribute towards the deployment roadmap, cutover rehearsals, change management, including training materials definition and execution
Work with the other SMEs and functional consultants to ensure the R2R deliverables are aligned with the rest of deliverables for a seamless end to end process definition and execution.
You will bring:
University degree in accounting or finance, 5-8 years’ experience, knowing IFRS & local GAAP
Previous knowledge of SAP relevant modules, ie Finance reporting, process control
Known as someone always wanting to improve the status quo.
Good network within the GBU Finance community.
Worked previously in the Finance function.
Good knowledge of the IFRS, Local/Tax GAAP Process Controls
