We are seeking an inspirational and highly skilled Head of GBS Transformation and Service Excellence to set up our dynamic transformation team in Lisbon. This role is pivotal in driving the transformation of our Global Business Services (GBS) across Finance, Procurement, and Human Resources. If you have extensive experience in GBS transformation, a strong service excellence mindset, and the ability to build and lead a high-performing team, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

• Lead the search and hiring process for a highly skilled GBS Transformation and Service Excellence Leadership Team, including roles such as PMO Lead, Projects and Transitions Manager, Service Performance and Service Catalog Manager, Service Excellence Manager, Automation Manager, and Transformation Managers.

• Inspire, manage, and collaborate with a team of eight direct reports, working closely with the Head of GBS and GBS Service Line Managers.

• Be an integral part of the GBS Leadership Team, driving strategic initiatives and fostering a culture of excellence.

Transformation:

• Set and align the GBS strategy with Syensqo’s overall strategy.

• Develop and own the transformation plan for GBS, focusing on process transformation, automation, and productivity benefits.

• Establish the transformation capability to achieve the ambition of becoming a Next-Gen GBS organization.

• Lead the creation and realization of the GBS business case, identifying opportunities and working closely with Service Line leadership.

• Stay updated with market developments to bring the latest thinking and best practices to GBS.

• Set standards and frameworks for PMO, ensuring adherence and success in all projects and transitions.

• Define and implement the automation and digitization strategy for GBS, ensuring alignment with Syensqo’s automation strategy.

Service Excellence:

• Develop and implement the Service Excellence strategy for GBS.

• Establish a continuous improvement methodology and foster a culture of continuous improvement across all GBS service centers.

• Collaborate with Service Line Leadership and operational managers to identify and implement process improvement and transformation opportunities.

• Stay aligned with the ERP re-build team to maximize the benefits of investments in S/4HAN and other applications.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a shared services environment, with deep knowledge in at least one GBS Service Line (Finance, Credit Management, Procurement, HR).

• Proven experience in leading areas such as Projects and Transition Management, Service Excellence, or Automation.

• Experience of leading GBS transformation on a global scale, within at large corporate business

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to coach, guide, and manage a team effectively.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

• Proactive with high initiative and autonomy.

• Self-aware leader committed to continuous self-improvement.

Language Skills:

• Fluent in English (both written and spoken).

Additional Information:

• Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, as required.
