International Cost Analysis Manager in Lisle, Illinois
Position Overview
International Motors is seeking a Cost Analysis Manager to join the Pricing Operations team. The role will provide high quality material cost calculations to identify potential pricing and margin enhancements to the vehicles we sell.The Cost Analysis Manager will be expected to be a business partner to Pricing Managers and to have an active role in bringing accurate and up-to-date cost data for feature margin calculations and price positioning.We are looking for a self-motivated and energetic individual with ability to work independently and with relevant work experience of a minimum of 2 years, preferably with a background in the automotive industry as an engineer, cost engineer or procurement. This position will work both internally and cross-functionally at multiple levels within International Motors.
Excellent teamwork and clear communication are important. This position will require communication with suppliers and procurement
Responsibilities
• Be the center-of-excellence for all vehicle systems with regards to understanding product/ manufacturing costs• Understand the true cost of the component, as designed, assuming best-in-class sourcing and manufacturing• Produce high quality, factual cost data for features by collaborating across cross functional peers, including Application Engineering, Product Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing• Challenge Procurement on their cost structures based on known feature margins, and escalate to management on trends and data that needs review
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
At least 5 years of data analysis, data modeling, or pricing analysis experience
OR
Master’s degree
At least 3 years of data analysis, data modeling, or pricing analysis experience
OR
- At least 7 years of data analysis, data modeling, or pricing analysis experience
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
• Understand International Motors systems, including CDMS, validation rules, Pharos, MMI’s, to support the development of cost analysis of all feature codes across all models• The ability to conceptualize and develop design BOMs and related costs to support Special Equipment cost estimates• Data analytics & data mining to identify cost outliers and opportunities• Good communication skills and ability to effectively engage with engineering, pricing, and suppliers• Ability to understand technical concepts
